Coupled Climate change driven simulation on hydrological fluxes across New Zealand (66,000 catchments and river link) associated with geo-enginnering management option of solar radiation.
We output global gridded model data from chemistry-climate models. Data mainly include 3-dimensional distribution of trace gases and meteorological parameters. We submit our data to international data archives (CEDA/BADC) under various collaborative projects (e.g., CMIP6, CCMI-2 projects). We also store copies of some data on local machines for analyses.
Data will describe how much water available across the country
Biogeochemical and physical models of the New Zealand region.
Hydrological projections under climate change for differenttime horizons and different hydrlogical characteristics
Model output of a wide range of chemical, physical, and dynamical fields that are either submitted to the international data archive and/or used in publications.
New module added to the New Zealand Wate rModel to take into account probabilistic distribution of presence of tile drainage within catchment.
Oceanographic mooring and voyage data from Cook Strait. We will look to make this open after an embargo time period. These data will be coming in over the next 3 years.
Co-develop data set of climate change ipact on water resources in conjunction with economic assessments
We generate the Earth System Model (UKESM/NZESM) simulations of global distributions of chemical species, physical and dynamical properties of the atmosphere at the horizontal resolution of 192x144 and the vertical resolution of 85 layers. The model will be run on the NeSI's HPC platform. Datasets will cover several model simulations from 1850 to 1900, 1850 to 2014, and 1950 to 2014, as part of the international multi-modelling project AerChemMIP (part of CMIP6).
