Te Tapuwae o Rongokako Marine Reserve

Located in the East Coast/Hawke's Bay Conservancy, this marine reserve was established in 1999. An initial baseline habitat survey was completed for this reserve.

Monitoring at this reserve targets intertidal reef communities (monitoring rocky intertidal communities occurring on rocky reefs, boulder reefs); subtidal reef fish (monitoring fish species associated with rocky reefs, boulder reefs, biogenic reefs) and monitoring surveys specifically targeting rock lobster.

Sampling frequency = irregular.

Depths sampled:0-40 m.

Methods used to collect data:transect, photograph, UVC, BUV, pot.
