<dc:description xmlns:geonet="http://www.fao.org/geonetwork">This is a proposal concept to be developed upon direct invitation from the World Bank. The idea is to develop models of hazard impacts in selected Pacific island countries - most likely Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu (although PICs are yet to be confirmed). The expected outcome would be improved post disaster impact estimates.Impact estimates would likely be in the form of damage estimates (scale and type), replacement values, number of people affected/ injured, disaggregated by sex, age and gender.</dc:description>
